The Platform Behind the Speed.

How Verdict's compliance platform, CMSP, actually works.

Most compliance work is slow because it's done by hand. Someone reads each requirement, figures out how your systems meet it, and writes it all out, one control at a time. That's why traditional consulting takes months. Our platform, CMSP, changes that. Here's how it works, in plain terms.

It learns your systems.

You tell CMSP how your environment is set up. It uses that to understand which requirements apply to you and what needs to be documented.

It already knows the rules cold.

CMSP has the full federal control libraries built into it, the same requirements an assessor measures you against. It doesn't guess or pull from the open internet. It works from the actual standards.

It writes the documentation for you.

For each requirement, CMSP matches what your systems do against what the standard demands, and drafts the written documentation, the same artifacts that would otherwise take a team weeks to produce by hand.

Experienced people check every word.

Nothing goes out raw. Federal practitioners who have spent their careers in assessment review and refine every package to the standard an assessor expects.

You get the speed of automation with the judgment of people who have done this for decades. That is why we move faster, without cutting corners.

For those who want to know what's actually under the hood: CMSP is a retrieval-augmented generation system purpose-built for federal compliance documentation. It is not a generic AI wrapper. Here's the architecture.

Grounded in the real control libraries.

CMSP maintains a vector knowledge base of the actual federal frameworks, including the NIST 800-53 control catalog and NIST 800-171 controls, embedded for semantic retrieval. Every generation is grounded in these real requirements, not in a model's general training data.

Domain-specific retrieval.

We use embeddings optimized for legal and regulatory language, so retrieval understands the semantic relationships between compliance concepts, not just keyword matches. When the system works a given control, it retrieves the relevant control text, the matching parts of your system documentation, and any applicable prior artifacts, and assembles them into context.

Framework-aware generation.

CMSP knows which framework a given project targets and retrieves only against that framework's requirements, so a CMMC project is grounded in 800-171 and an 800-53 project in 800-53, with no cross-contamination. The retrieved context, your system profile, and the control requirement are assembled into a structured prompt, and the documentation is generated from that grounded context.

Human review layer.

Generated output passes through validation and is reviewed and finalized by experienced federal practitioners before delivery. The automation handles the volume; the expertise ensures it meets the standard.

Your data stays in your environment.

CMSP is built to operate inside your existing boundary, so sensitive information never has to leave your control.

The result is documentation built from the real requirements, retrieved intelligently, generated in a fraction of the time, and finalized by people who know exactly what assessors look for.
